One place left
One man looked after everything. Then he moved on.
Website, hosting and company email all needed a new home and somebody new to run them. We took the lot on, moved it somewhere Ace own outright, and built six new pages from scratch.

Ace Interiors is a family run commercial fit out firm in Cambridge, going since 2015. Glass partitions, mezzanine floors, suspended ceilings, full office fit outs. Good tradesmen with a proper reputation.
Their website, their hosting and their company email had all been looked after by the same IT contractor for years. He was moving on, and nothing about that was hostile. He was helpful throughout, and dug out the database and the account details we needed to get everything across. But it left James with the question every small business eventually faces: what happens when the one person who understands your systems is no longer around.
James asked us to take it all on, move it somewhere sensible, and give the site a refresh while we were at it. We ended up doing rather more than a refresh.
Moved the hosting
Everything moved onto Hostinger, set up in Ace's own name with Ace's own billing. Their outgoing IT contractor handed over the database and the account details without a fuss, which made a job that can turn nasty into a straightforward one. No agency middleman, no account somebody else controls. If Ace ever want to walk away from us, the keys are already in their pocket.
Rebuilt the company email
Their addresses moved across with the hosting and were set up properly. Boring, invisible, and the single thing most likely to cost a fit out firm real money if it breaks on a Monday morning.
Built six pages from scratch
Not a theme with their logo dropped on it. Six pages, each written around one thing Ace actually sell, each built to be found on Google and to end in a phone call.

Live in a week, then looked after
All six pages were written, built and live inside a week. That is only possible because there is no chain of command here. Two of us, nothing outsourced, nothing sat in a queue waiting on a third party. Since launch we have added pages and sections whenever James has asked, all covered by the monthly care plan rather than billed as extras.
Ace sell things that are genuinely hard to picture from a photograph. So rather than describe them, we built small pieces of the website that let you try them.
Drag to frost the glass
Customers kept asking how private frosted glass really is. Now they answer it themselves by dragging a slider and watching the office behind it disappear. Have a go below.
Watch the noise stop
Acoustic glass is a number on a spec sheet until you see it working. Sound waves travel across, hit the pane, and come out the far side as almost nothing.

The best thing we can say is that nothing has gone wrong.
It has been live for about a year. No outages, no emergency phone calls, no morning where the email stopped working. When James wants something added, he asks, and it gets added. That is what the care plan is for.
It is not a dramatic ending, and we would rather tell you that than invent a percentage. A website that quietly does its job for a year without anyone having to think about it is the actual product.
